Local Director

Alisha Barnes is currently the Business Development Director of JJ Royal Coffee and head of Singapore office. Starting out as a coffee novice, Alisha has spent the past 4 years amassing her coffee knowledge and developing her sensory skills. She is on a mission to showcase Indonesia’s most exceptional coffees and lead JJ Royal Coffee’s global expansion.

Background and Experience

Prior to kicking off her coffee journey, Alisha had over a decade of extensive experience in the corporate world. Her last position was in Apple Southeast Asia’s Operations team leading cross-functional coordination for New Product Introductions. Her other corporate roles included strategic planning & consulting at Walmart Asia, and serving as a senior consultant at Deutsche Post DHL Inhouse Consulting, an internal management consultancy for the world’s leading mail and logistics services group.

Based on her international upbringing as a third culture kid in Indonesia and her former life as a corporate road warrior, she is well-versed to operate in culturally diverse environments and organizations. A native speaker of English, Alisha can also converse in Mandarin and Indonesian.

Education

Alisha holds a Masters of Business degree from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business, and a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations from Johns Hopkins University.
